We are hoping to raise over £1000 for charities working within Mongolia. Two of these charities are the UK based Cambridge Mongolia Disaster Appeal (CAMDA), and the Mongolia based Child Development Protection Fund (CDPF).

We intend to raise money for the Blackpool's a Knockout MRI Scanner appeal. The Blackpool's A Knockout appeal aims to bring MRI scanning facilities to local children. Although Blackpool Victoria Hospital already has an MRI scanner, special anaesthetic equipment is needed so children can use it.

If successful, the campaign will fund not only the new equipment but also a dedicated recovery room and special IT equipment.

One of the charities we are supporting, CAMDA, provides grass-roots aid to poorer nomadic herding communities that lost millions of herd animals to wintry extremes. It also targets three essential resources: hay-making, reliable wells, healthy horses. Its aid helps prevent families on the verge of poverty giving up herding for the almost certain poverty of alien city life.

We will also be raising money for the Mongolia based Child Development Protection Fund (CDPF). We will be supporting the CDPF by donating the vehicle to them at the end of the rally to sell at auction. The CDPF will also receive any spare parts, equipment, tools and spare travel gear that we bring to Mongolia. We are hoping to make at least £500 for the vehicle at auction.
